Gaston Chiquet 'Tradition' 1er Cru Brut NV

A grower Champagne from the Chiquet family, sourced from premier and grand cru villages in the heart of the region: Hautvillers 1er Cru, Dizy 1er Cru, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ 1er Cru, and Aÿ Grand Cru. The blend draws from the 2021 vintage with reserve wines from 2018 to 2020, offering depth, freshness, and a true sense of place.

Blend: 40% Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir Vintage Composition: 68% 2021, 32% 2018–2020

Soil Type: Clay and limestone over chalk

Vinification: Fermented and aged in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation. Aged 48+ months on the lees. Dosage: 6g/L.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of ripe pear, peach, and honey with a subtle strawberry nuance. The palate offers very good intensity, with fresh orchard fruit and spice cake flavors that gain weight with air. Closes on a vibrant, stony note with excellent clarity and length.

Pairing: Oysters, canapés, soft cheeses, roast poultry, and celebrations of all kinds.
