Felsina Chianti Classico

Felsina Chianti Classico Berardenga is considered to be a textbook expression of Sangiovese from the southernmost reaches of the Chianti Classico zone, near the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga in Tuscany. Crafted entirely from estate-grown Sangiovese, the wine reflects the uniqueness of the world-reknown terroir.  Warmer and slightly more Mediterranean than central Chianti, this climate imparts a richness and depth without sacrificing elegance.  This bottling captures the vibrant personality of the grape with a ruby red color and and the essence of red cherries, wild berries, dried herbs, violets, and hints of earthy spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet firm, with finely woven tannins, lively acidity, and a savory, mineral-tinged finish that lingers gracefully. Aging in large Slavonian oak casks preserves a fruit forward brightness while adding depth and excellent tertiary development.
