Domaine Thet Touraine AOC Rose Brut
Domaine Thet Touraine AOC Rosé Brut is a méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine from the heart of the Loire Valley, where the cool climate and limestone-rich soils lend themselves naturally to wines of finesse and vibrancy. This rosé is crafted from a blend of Gamay, Grolleau, and Pineau d’Aunis; three heritage varieties that thrive in Touraine and together offer a compelling balance of fruit, spice, and aromatic lift. Following gentle pressing and cool fermentation, the wine undergoes a secondary fermentation in bottle and ages sur lie for several months, contributing a creamy texture and fine mousse. In the glass, it displays a pale salmon-pink hue with a steady stream of delicate bubbles. Aromas are lifted and precise with ripe strawberry, wild raspberry, and red grapefruit peel mingling with floral notes of rose petal and a whisper of white pepper. The palate is dry and taut, a crisp acidity frames the red berry fruit and lends tension to its creamy mid-palate. There’s a mineral undertone that reinforces its Loire terroir, and a hint of brioche on the finish from lees aging. At around 12% ABV, it’s both refreshing and refined, great on its own or alongside lighter fare.
