Champagne Charpentier Tradition Brut

$ 60.00

Champagne Charpentier’s Tradition Brut is a classically styled, terroir-driven Champagne that reflects both the richness of the Marne Valley and the family’s deeply traditional approach to winemaking. This cuvée is built around a dominant proportion of Pinot Meunier supported by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from estate vineyards rooted in clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested fruit is gently pressed, with primary fermentation carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve fruit clarity and varietal expression. Full Malolactic fermentation is completed, lending roundness and approachability, before the wine undergoes traditional secondary fermentation in bottle and extended aging on the lees to develop texture and aromatic complexity. Dosage is carefully calibrated to maintain balance while highlighting the wine’s naturally generous profile. In the glass, Tradition Brut is open and inviting, offering aromas of yellow apple, pear, and stone fruit layered with notes of brioche, toasted grain, and subtle floral accents. The palate is supple and harmonious, with Pinot Meunier contributing a soft, rounded texture and gentle spice, balanced by fresh acidity and a creamy, persistent mousse. Hints of almond, citrus peel, and chalk emerge through the finish, giving the wine lift and quiet elegance. Approachable yet thoughtfully constructed, this is a versatile, food-friendly Champagne that excels as an aperitif but truly shines alongside charcuterie, roast chicken, creamy cheeses, and comforting, savory dishes.
