Domaine Delalex Marin Clos de Pont
Domaine Delalex Marin Clos de Pont is a beautiful single varietal white wine from the Haute-Savoie, produced in the tiny cru of Marin overlooking Lake Geneva. Made from Chasselas, a grape native to the Alpine regions of France and Switzerland, this wine reflects both its terroir and the Delalex family’s stewardship. The Clos de Pont vineyard, perched on steep slopes of glacial moraine and limestone, benefits from cool alpine breezes and proximity to the lake, which help preserve acidity and aromatic lift. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, the wine is delicate yet structured, opening with subtle aromas of white flowers, crushed stone, green pear, and fresh almonds, and offering a palate that is mineral, mouthwatering, and quietly complex. Though graceful in its youth, Clos de Pont also has surprising aging potential. Thanks to its glacial soils, high-altitude vineyard, and naturally low pH, this Chasselas develops slowly over time exchanging its initial crispness for more layered and savory tones. With over 10 years in bottle, it evolves beautifully, gaining notes of beeswax, preserved lemon, hazelnut, and lanolin, while maintaining its alpine freshness and saline edge. A rare example of Chasselas with depth and longevity, Clos de Pont is a unique offering of a refined and age-worthy expression of Savoie.
