They started with a farm that included a range of livestock, grains and vineyards.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAlphonse's son, Marcel, took over the farm and decided to plant more vineyards including the lieu-dit of Les Chasseignes, which was one of the first vineyards planted by the family and today one of the most famous vineyards of Sancerre.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe third generation, Denis Dezat, with his brother Claude Dezat continued to plant more vineyards and the focus shifted from livestock to winemaking.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAurore Dezat took over the winery in 2011 and in 2016, David Girard, her husband, joined her. David arrived at the winery with a wealth of experience in organic and biodynamic farming and in 2023, the winery will achieve organic certification.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAurore and David farm 9.5 hectares of the Sancerre appellation divided between 8.11 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 1.39 hecatres of Pinot Noir.
